Raiding???

Are we going to raid in MoP? At this point it looks like we won't be. Only 5 weeks until the end of the season, and we haven't got enough serious players to make a viable raid group.

Fair enough question.

Our focus is to find players that get along really well together and make playing more fun in general. Because that is the main focus recruitment is necessarily a slow process. Adding 20 people simultaneously would not be in the spirt of getting to know everyone.

That said our intent has always been to raid 10 man content on one scheduled night per week. I would rather pug a dps or two on raid night than have a Zerg guild full of people I don't know who never chat or hangout.

At the moment it is hard to gauge who plays how seriously because Cata is so old and dull that I can't fault anyone for enjoying the summer sun rather than grinding heroics or BGs for gear that will be irrelivant in a month. Of the 11 players in the guild I think we can count on at least 6 being high attendance weekly raiders, most willing to fill any role to do so. That seems appropriate for the moment.

A lot can happen in 5 weeks but I am positive we will find our way through content at a good pace once the xpan drops.

Pretty much what crom/ our recruitment post said:

-currently we plan on doing 10 man content as a guild - no 25 man content
-1 night a week scheduled for 10 man raid (some of us may push a second night later in the week but it wont be required)- other nights we will do 5 man content or pvp (rated/random) bgs or play alts, attempting world bosses, transmog runs etc etc
-we are semi-casual and likely wont be pushing hard-mode content until maybe later - we are not a "progression" guild so we will not be sacrificing fun times for pushing content as fast as possible
-we fully intend to keep the guild small (likely 10-15 core people - not counting those who play less regularly) as crom said we would rather have to pug a few dps some nights if we have to (pretty easily done on KT) than have a zerg guild full of people we barely know. (as guild leaders- large guilds tend to stress us out too much with organizing and drama : P)
-our main concern is getting to know each other, recruiting for a great small community and enjoying each other's company and having fun and making longer term wow friends, our secondary concern is completing content/ getting pvp ratings
-no one will be kicked for "being bad" - only for disrupting the happy atmosphere of the guild. All we ask is people try to improve upon themselves, not be elitist and not put others down and show up on time for the raid if they can - bring your best game that night. we will try to pick a day/time that works the best for everyone and this might evolve over time.


this type of guild isnt for everyone- we understand that- people will come and go and those that stick around will be just the type we are looking for long term : )
