Alliance Guild on Kel'Thuzad - A Different type of Guild

Are you a serious WoW player who is sick of zerg / anonymous / elitist guilds ?
Do you want to see all the content of the next expansion with a small group of solid players ?


Background
The core of our guild is three people who have been playing together, running various types of guilds on many different servers and both factions since before AQ was end game. Over that many years we have seen our friends drift to other hobbies / careers / relationships. With MoP around the corner it’s time to make new connections and new friends to share Pandaria with.

Vision
What we are looking to create is a small guild of mature gamers. We would rather have only 8-12 friends online than 50 strangers. We are a guild that knows each other well, a guild that can make even the 100,000th WSG game or the 5th hour in a raid fun and full of banter.

We will be scheduling one evening of 10 man raiding and one evening of RBGs per week. Other less prearranged goals for the expansion;
2k+ arena teams
Gold medal challenge modes
Achievement hunting
Battleground farming
Transmog running


The time commitment for 10 man guild events is low but the amount of WoW time we still log after all these years is still quite high. Three of us have raised the guild to level 8 without a concerted effort in just a couple of months.

The ideal person to join us is;
Mid 20s or older
has a day job
has a partner who plays as well
logs ~15-20 hours of play time a week
enjoys battlegrounds, heroics, challenge mode dungeons
not afraid to joke around in guild chat
not intimidated by Canadians

People who would have more fun in a different guild;
anyone looking for free things
anyone who enjoys having 200 people online in the guild at once
anyone who needs to measure their epeen every few minutes
anyone that needs to clear all hardmodes to feel like they have progressed
people who are too special to help a guildy with a quest, achievement, craft combine, ect

Recruiting
We are in need of a healer with a DPS off spec; Shaman or Priest
We could also use one last serious DPS caster; Warlock

Raiding
Saturday - Noon PST / 1pm EST - 3 to 4 hours
Tuesday - 7:30 PST / 10:30 EST - ~2 hours

Raiding only 4 hours a week we have cleared 4/6 MV and brought the first HoF boss to <20% in just 3 attempts. We dont raid many hours but we are serious about progression and expect the same.

No stress, no fights, no drama.

Ok for the MoP drop we are going to set up the guild bank as follows:

Everyone will still be able to WITHDRAW stuff in varying amounts from all Tabs except last one. If you reach a quota just ask, should be fine.

The Last tab will have whatever is most rare and costly like current high level BoE gear or whatever. Still available, just throw a tell to us, unless there is some overriding reason, it should be ok. Possibly could contain stuff being saved for a reason.

Everyone will be able to DEPOSIT to bank Tab 1. Then we will sort it into an appropriate tab, in order to keep it tidy.

Guild repairs and whatnot will still be available in varying amounts, which will probably be increased as we start raiding.

Guild money will be used to purchase more tabs, for guild repairs, and to purchase materials to make things like food and potions/flasks for the guild. Tho I suspect we will keep a healthy cushion in it just for paranoia's sake.

The Tabs will likely be organized into sections for things like Current level food, flasks, Pots, cloth/ore/leather/herbs/etc. I say current because we wont have room for the leveling mats of 10 professions for 100 people :P Neat and tidy.

While there will not be room for old leveling materials/gear. I encourage you to make yourself a bank alt to store excess goods you may not wish to part with. Then a simple request in guild chat might net you help from unexpected sources.




If you find anything to be blatantly unfair or just plain stupid, by all means speak up. We are just trying to organize everything carefully and logically. Tho we are resistant to change, so we may not listen :P
